What size grill do you actually need?

Bigger isn't better — it's just more island to build and more fuel to burn. Tell us how you cook and we'll size the head.

The sizing rules behind this tool

Plan roughly 100–130 sq in of cooking area per regular person, plus headroom for parties. On power, target 150–200 BTU per square inch from the main burners — enough for hard searing without hour-long preheats. Rotisserie ambitions add a rear-burner requirement, which narrows the field fast. The full logic is in ourbuilt-in grill buying guide.
